Homemade chocolate chip cookies

I always cook + bake a lot during the holidays so I’ve decided to share some photos. Here is a tray full of my fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookies. And because I’m feeling quite in the spirit of sharing, here is my recipe (taking it from the top of my head so I hope I don’t miss anything!):

Deane’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

Chocolate chips

2 cups of flour

Crushed walnuts, pecans and almonds (optional)

1 tsp Baking soda

1 cup brown sugar

1 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

2 eggs

1/2 cup of butter

Vegetable oil

Procedure:

Preheat your oven at 350-375 degrees. In a bowl, mix together butter, vanilla, eggs, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well. Add chocolate chips and nuts as desired. Once the dough is finished, line a tray with baking/wax paper. Take about a teaspoon of oil into your hands and use them to cut and roll the dough into tiny balls. The oil helps in not making the dough stick to your hands. Make sure to place 1-2 inches distance between them all as you put them on the tray. Bake from 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool the cookies for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
